Rector of  Bogor Agricultural University, Prof.Dr.Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc., released 973 students to Professonal Field Work (KKP) which was deployed in 163 villages, on Saturday (29/6) in Campus of IPB Dramaga, Bogor.
 
They were coming from Faculty of Animal Science, Faculty of Human Ecology, Faculty of Economic and Management, and Faculty of Agriculture. The students would be deployed in Bogor, Karawang, Subang, Bekasi, Garut, Indramayu, Tegal, Brebes, Pekalongan, Cilacap and PT. Arutmin. 
 
This Professional Field Work took place from 1 July to 30 August 2013. There were new ones from the participants of the professional field work this year, where there were 6 students from Malaysia who would participate in this KKP. 
 
The students from Malaysia came from Program Sains Pemakanan, Fakulti Sains Kasihatan, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Their presence was the fruit of collaboration between Faculty of Human Ecology (FEMA) of IPB and Fakulti Sains Kasihatan of UKM, through the student mobility.program.
 
Rector of IPB in his speech instructed to the students of IPB in order to be able to build the spirit of the villagers to become independent.  
 
“In the midst of poverty issues, the social interaction which begins to fade, the loss of non-formal leadership, the social institution which has been estalished, you should be able to find the problem, formulate solution and complete together with the community,” said Rector of IPB.
 
IPB Goes to Field 2013
 
In the previous week, Rector of IPB also released of 462 students of IPB Goes to Field 2013, they were down in various places like, Banjarnegera, Villages around Campus of IPB, Bogor, Brebes, Garut, Klaten, Kudus, West Lampung, Nganjuk, Pekalongan, Tegal, and Bondowoso. (man)
