In its 30th Anniversary, FMIPA-IPB Organized the National Science Party 2012
Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (Student Executive Board – BEM) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of IPB, organized another great event in 2012. It was the ninth of the National Science Party, held on 9-11 November 2012. The symbolic event was opened by Rector of IPB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc at Grha Widya Wisuda (GWW). The event was part of the series of the 30th Anniversary of FMIPA, which has been started since April 2012. The theme of the current National Science Party is the Techno Science.
“On behalf of the IPB I would like to extend my sincere welcome to the all student who participate on the National Science Party 2012. Welcome to Darmaga Campus, welcome to the People Campus, and welcome to the campus which produces plenty of innovators. I would also like to thank the teachers who were dedicated and tireless in accompanying their students in preparing and attending the National Science Party 2012 ", said Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc.
The National Science Party 2012 is the place to increase their scientific interest and love for young people, as well as the exemplified the international scientific competition. The special event was participated by 1835 high school students (SMA) and 261 teachers from all over Indonesia.
According to the Dean of FMIPA IPB, Dr. Ir. Sri Nurdiati, M.Sc, students will participate in the competition planned by the respective Professional Association (Himpro) under the FMIPA IPB, whereas for teachers, they attended the seminar or workshop. Dr. Sri said, "Participate in the national event such as the National Science Party is a healthy method, dignified, and useful for students of the Secondary Schools in channeling their talents and interests. On this occasion I congratulate you, students of High School who participate in such healthy and fair competition. To teachers who accompany their students, welcome to the entire series of seminars and workshops scheduled for the the National Science Party participants. Hopefully this scientific event will be meaningful for all the participants to learn experiences and expand their knowledge and networks, "she said. (Wied).
