BEM Fapet IPB Distributed Free 1600 Eggs
The Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (Student Executive Board – BEM) of Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) organized Livestockphoria special event as part of a series Fapet Golden Week (FGW) 2012. The event was conducted at the IPB park in front of the Rectorate Building, on 30 September 2012. Livestockphoria is the campaign of the nutritious of meats and eggs to the community around the Darmaga Campus. The Organizing Committee distributed free 1600 eggs to those communities. In addition, they can buy cheap meats and eggs from one of the stands in the Livestockphoria exhibition.
The objectives of the Livestockphoria activities was to improve the awareness of the community on the importance of animal protein for them. The theme of the event was "Dengan Protein Hewani Tingkatkan Gizi dan Prestasi (The Animal Protein Boost Nutrition and Performance)". In addition to nutrition campaign, the OC of the Livestockphoria also conducted the cooking contest with of chicken and eggs as its basic ingredients, and talk shows. For this special event the Livestockphoria presents the "Duta Ayam dan Telur (Ambassador Chicken and Egg)", the Winner of L-Men of The Year 2006, Fernando Surya and Miss Indonesia Tourism 2009, Ms. Ayu Pratiwi.
The Fapet Golden Week 2012, was carried out on 29-30 September 2012, during which 5 (five) programs were implemented, namely Kartu I-Pet (Animal Husbandry Scientific Writing), Exspotion (Expression of Political Nation), National Seminar, Cowboy Show Time (CST) and Livestockphoria. At the closing ceremony of Fapet Golden Week 2012 the “Kahitna” the famous band group in Indonesia showed their performances.
According to Rama Baroto Ilmar (20), Chief Executive of Fapet Golden Week 2012, for the Kartu I-Pet program, was participated by 38 teams from state and private universities, while the Exspotion event was participated by 11 teams from both state and private universities. National Seminar with the theme "Self-Sufficiency Meat 2014, Will it be realized?" has presented several speakers such as Ir. Abu Bakar, SE. MM (Directorate of Livestock Breeding), Dr. Ir. Arief Daryanto, M.Ec (Director of MB-IPB), Mr. Karnadi Winaga (PT Anugrah Rumpin Works), and Mr. Robi Agustiar (DPD Secretary PPSKI West Java).
The benefits of this chicken and eggs campaigns are really to educate our community to improve their understanding the important of animal protein for them. Moreover, through the campaign it is expected that the nutrition of the future generation of Indonesia will soon be fulfilled, "said Rama Baroto Ilmar, Chief Executive of Fapet Golden Weeks 2012.
