General Lecture Towards Wirabhakti Intellectuals

On (3/9,) Graduate School of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) gave a general lecture (Studium General) with the theme "Intellectuals in Developing Countries: Reflection Experience for an Increased Role" to the Graduate Students for the academic year of 2012/2013. This first lecture was held in the Graduation Building, Graha Widya Wisuda (GWW).

This general lecture invites Prof. Dr. Ir. Eriyatno, M.Sc as a speaker. On this occasion, he discussed "Developing Wirabhakti Scholars as Excellent Academicians in Indonesia." "We become scientists not only to be entrepreneurs but also to be wirabhakti (nationalists) and work with the spirit of patriotism so that any resulted thesis or dissertation can be useful for the progress of the nation ". In addition to the general lecture, there was also an exposure to the administration and general description of Graduate School of IPB.

"To all students of Graduate School of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Welcome!, This year the number of students accepted into the Graduate School of IPB is 1395 people," said Dean of the Graduate School, Dr. Ir. Dahrulsyah, Msc. Agr in his speech.

On this occasion, IPB Rector, Prof. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc said, "In particular I would like
express my congratulations to the students of the Master and Doctoral Programs already admitted into IPB. Welcome to IPB, the campus with the highest number of Doctoral graduates in Indonesia ". He also said "I hope you can improve the quality of research and relate it to the community needs so that your research results can be useful for the community, state and nation”. On this occasion, Prof. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc also accepted symbolically two Graduate students of IPB. (Mtd)
