The Social Gethering of University Communities for Halal Bi Halal 1433 H
As usual, to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) organizes Halal bi Halal for its campus communties. This year, to celebrate this Eid-ul-Fitr 1433 H, the University held this Halal bi Halal on Tuesday, 28 August 2012, at Grha Widya Graduation (GWW). To begin the event, the audiences were invited to have greeting-shake each other. The event was hosted by the Director of the Joint Preparation Level (TPB) IPB, Dr. Ir. Ibn al-Qayyim. Halal bi Halal is the flatform for the social gathering for all the campus communities of IPB. "Let’s we we grateful for the spirit and the momentum of Eid-ul-Fitr which is full of honesty, sincerity and the spirit of this devotion, and let’s use this special event to make a basic foundation to build a better future," said IPB Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc in his opening remarks. "Halal bi Halal we perform today, is the vehicle to reaffirm the positive values in our lives and is the best time for us for Greetings each others," added Rector.
At this present Halal bi Halal, the Organizing Committee invited one of the Indonesian noted poets and author, Taufik Ismail, who is also one of the IPB alumnus. On this special occasion, Taufik Ismail recited his evergreen poem "alma mater", which tells his life story as an undergraduate student of Bogor Agricultural University, 49 years ago. In addition, at this special event the tausiyah (the islamic lecture) by the head of Pondok Pesantren Penghafal Al-Quran (PPPA) Daarul Qur’an, Ust. H. Yusuf Mansur, was delivered for the audiences. The final item of the program was the Bimbo groups performance, who were consisted of Sam Bimbo, Acil and Jaka’s. A very special performance was presented by the group for this special event where Taufik Ismail recited poems like "heritage" and "purchase" as the prelude for the songs being they preformed. Finally, the group concluded their performance by singing together with Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc. As the final program was “Ramah tamah” where the audiences were invited for lunch together. (Wied).
