IPB Lanuches a Movement of Loving the Qur’an in the Event of Donation for 1000 Orphans around the Campus
Bogor Agricultural University held an event of giving donation to orphans and launched a Quran-loving movement on Saturday (4/8). The event invited 1000 orphans from 17 villages / sub-districts around IPB campus and those inside the campus. The donation was symbolically submitted to the orphans representing 17 villages around the campus by IPB Rector, Prof. Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc. In this event, Rector, representatives from the villages around campus, and the academic community of IPB together with the orphans recited some verses of the Quran. The event was closed with the Ashr prayer in congregation.
Chairman of Family Council Mosques (DKM) Al-Hurriyyah, Ust. E. Syamsudin said, "I hope this would be the means by which Allah grants salvation, grace and blessings to us all. We, of the DKM Al Hurriyyah, would like to say "Jazakumullah khoiron katsiron" (May Allah grant you all a great victory) for the event held today and hopefully this is evidence of our concern over the orphans around us ". He also added, "Kids, this donation is not much, but I hope you can accept and use it well so that later you would not drop out of school ".
"On behalf of the leaders and all members of IPB, I’d like to say "Welcome" to all children in IPB Campus of Dramaga. I also thank and express appreciation to the donors who have given some of their property as donation to the orphans in 17 villages around this campus," said Prof. Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc. "I just want to advice all children to really try to be good and pious kids, deligent at doing the prayer and reading the Quran, and keep learning to be independent, not depending on others; this is important for the independence of you all, children, later as adults, " said Prof. Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc.
The Villahe Chief representing the Villages around IPB campus, Atang Suryadimulya (Cihideung Ilir) said, "I’d like to express thanks to Mr. Rector of IPB, for this has been the nth time each year the kids around IPB campus receive aids from IPB. We can see by ourselves, not the value of the aids but the cheerfulness of the kids, they are so happy; I’m so glad, and making them very happy is valuable to them." (Mtd)
