SMA 1 OF SOUTH TAMBUN VISITED IPB

On Thursday (14/6) Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) accepted the visit from SMAN 1 South Tambun, Bekasi. The group was accepted in the Auditorium Andi Hakim Nasution, Campus of IPB Darmaga Bogor. In addition to be presented the film presentation of Wirausaha Muda IPB, the group was also invited to discuss about how passionate the agriculture was with the resource persons, Executive Secretary of IPB, Dr. Ir. Bonny P W Soekarno, MS and Siti Nuryati, S.TP, M.Si. 
 
According to Vice Head of School of Curriculum Field, Agus Gusyana, this visit was implemented in digging various kinds of information about universities in general and the information about IPB itself. The thing was caused by quickly or slowly the students should choose where they would go after graduated from SMA. In his welcome speech, Agus Gusyana, delivered, “It is the pride for us to be able to visit one of the favorite universities in Indonesia that is Bogor Agricultural University”.   

Agus Gusyana added, “In the learning year of 2011-2012, a lot of your older brothers/sisters have been accepted at IPB. This is the achievement for SMA 1 Tambun, may it be on your batch furthermore. We say thank you for the facility given by IPB”.

Dr. Ir. Bonny P W Soekarno, MS in his welcome speech, hoped, “With the presence of students and teacher from SMA 1 of South Tambun, it is expected to be able to open the insight that Indonesia apparently has the potential which is so big about agriculture, and who will develop the national agriculture for the nation prosperity if it is not the young generation.”. In her presentation, Siti Nuryati tried to change the paradigm of thinking of the students about agriculture, and motivate them to make the agricultural scientific as the means for advancing this nation to recall Indonesia to be the Agrarian Country.
