2011 IPB Job Fair Was Successful Program

Thousands of fresh graduates from various universities came to Grha Widya Graduation (GWW), Campus Dramaga, Bogor, on Saturday, 22 October 2011. They seemed so anthusiastic to visit booths that offer jobs in the IPB Job Fair 2011. The tenth of its kind was participated by 35 companies, the lists of the company that participated were banks, agriculture, livestock, insurance, and the the Property’s company owned by Elang Gumilang, one of the IPB alumni.

Booths of BRI, BNI, Mandiri, BCA, Danamon, BTPN and Bank Bukopin were favorites for the job-seekers. To register their names for the opportunities, they were willing to queue at these booths. The long queue was started from the entrance of GWW. The job-seekers usually worn trendy dresses, and they often came in groups.

A staff of the Directorate of Career Development and Alumni Relations (DPKHA) of Bogor Agricultural University said that the number of job-seekers to the two-day job fair were expected to exceed earlier event which had reached 3,500 people. The present Job Fair was officially opened by Director DPKHA, Dr. Dodi R Nurrohmat. MC for this special event was the presenter of TV One, Ms. Rahmawati Maya. Some companies presented their profiles and some held talkshow on the working world. (Wied)
