PR Indonesia Awards IPB University as Exemplary Public Relations Institution at PRIA 2026
IPB University was named the recipient of the Special Achievement Award as Exemplary Public Relations Institution at the 2026 Public Relations Indonesia Awards (PRIA). In the 11th event held in Yogyakarta (2/14), IPB University successfully received a total of 13 awards, confirming its status as the winner of the PRIA 2026 Platinum Awards.
The Rector of IPB University, Dr Alim Setiawan Slamet, expressed his appreciation for this achievement. He emphasized that this award was the result of the collective work of the entire academic community.
“This award is not only for the public relations unit, but for the entire IPB University family who continue to maintain the reputation and integrity of the institution,” he said.
Dr Alim also added that this achievement serves as motivation to continue improving the quality of public communication that is transparent, accountable, and impactful.
IPB University: A Role Model in Public Relations
Founder and CEO of PR Indonesia, Asmono Wikan, said that the PRIA Special Achievement award is given to individuals or institutions for their extraordinary contributions and commitment that have significantly strengthened the strategic function of public relations and the development of the PR ecosystem in Indonesia.
“IPB University is one of the institutions that consistently makes the PRIA competition part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the strategic function of public relations within its institution,” he said.
He continued, with its outstanding achievements through victories in various categories since 2022, IPB University has demonstrated professional, measurable, and impactful public relations practices, making it a reference for other higher education institutions.
The PRIA competition serves as a benchmark and barometer of achievement for Indonesian PR practitioners. This year, there were nine categories in the competition, ranging from PR Personnel, Owned Media, Digital Channels, Crisis Management, Annual Reports, Social Responsibility (SR) Communication Programs, PR Programs, PR Departments, to Public Affairs.
In the Public Affairs-Stakeholder Management category, IPB University won the Gold Winner award and Dr Alfian Helmi, Director of Cooperation, Communication, and Marketing, was named Best Presenter of Public Affairs PRIA 2026. Another Gold Winner award was won in the Social Responsibility (SR) Communication Program category for the Quality Youth School program.
According to Dr Helmi, this award is proof that IPB University’s communication strategy is well-directed and impact based. He emphasized the importance of adaptive communication management amid public dynamics.
“We will continue to strengthen synergy, innovation, and collaboration so that institutional communication can provide added value to society,” he said.
The achievements in PRIA 2026 further demonstrate IPB University’s position as a leading higher education institution not only in academics and research, but also in professional and ethical public communication management. (dr)(IAAS/KQA)
