Students of IPB Recommended their Campus to the Students of SMA in Jombang

Regional Student Organization (Omda) Jombang, East Java, held Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) Goes to School (IGTS) to 16 SMA in Jombang District, recently. As many as 31 members of Omda Jombang met approximately 800 students of SMA.

“Alhamdulillah, all go well. The students and the teachers in each school that we visit claim to be happy with the event of IGTS,” said the committee, Ainur Rosidah.

Sofi Azilan for example, the student of SMA Darul Ulum 3 Jombang claimed to be thinking about taking a course majoring in Biology in IPB. “Especially in IPB, there is a mandatory dormitory, so I will be more calm to be there. Hopefully, I can be accepted in IPB,” said Sofi.

Meanwhile, one teacher of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Jombang, thanked the team of IGTS from Omda Jombang which had added the knowledge about IPB to the students. ”Initially, they think that to enter IPB is difficul, so that they do not dare to take risks to choose IPB. After this socialization, the students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Jombang are motivated to want and dare to choose IPB,” she said.

Ainur said, the department of Actuaria was often asked by the students. “This study program, is being loved by the students because of the great job opportunities,” she added.(***/nm)
