2012 IPB Japas was a Very Great Event …..!

Saturday morning, 22 September 2012,  at 06.00 am, thousand of participants Jalan Pagi Sehat  (Healthy Morning Walk – Japas) IPB 2012 came together in the meeting field in front of the Rectorate,  Dramaga Campus. Again, as usual this year IPB organized  another JAPAS  as part of  a series of activity to celebrate its 49th Anniversary.
 
The flag-raising start was done by  IPB Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto MSc. In the front row of the groups were former IPB Rectors, Prof. Dr. Soleh Solahudin, Prof. Dr. Aman Wirakartakusumah, and Prof. Dr. Ahmad Ansori Mattjik, who were accompanied by the entire exectuive boards of IPB namely, Chairman of IPB Anniversary Committee, Dr. Rusli, and Meika Syahbana,  Sports Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Khaswar Syamsu.  They ‘guided’ thousand of other participants who tailed on them along the streets in the area  Dramaga campus.
 
Less than an hour, the Japas participants arrived at the finish line, where a lot of door prizes donated by units of IPB awaited them. The first prize was  LCD TV 32 inc, which was  donated by Rector of IPB, and was won by Sudarwo, officials at the Directorate of Student Affairs.
 
Rector in his welcome remarks stated that he was very happy to have Japas activities which  were participated by the university communties and the public communties around the campus as well. According to him, it was really a social gathering intrument  that reinforce the family spirit for the progress of our beloved campus. (Wied).
