IPB Trains Canteen Management Staff

Bogor Agricultural University through the Directorate of Business and Partnership gives some training to the canteen workers inside IPB in order to establish realize a safe and healthy canteen. The Training on the Implementation of Healthy Canteen in the Dramaga Campus of IPB was held in the House of Amarilis, Dramaga Campus, Thursday (2/8).
 
The training with the topic "Let’s Realize Safe and Healthy Food through Healthy Canteens" was attended by the entire canteen management staff from 9 Faculties of IPB, involving those managing the canteens of Yellow Corner, Red Corner, Purple Corner, TPB Canteen, Agricultural Faculty Canteen, Forestry Faculty Canteen and Plasma Canteen of Human Ecology Faculty.
 
In his speech, Director of Business and Partnership IPB, Dr. Meika Syahbana Rusli, said that the Ramadan month is the right time to develop the canteen staff as most are not in working condition. "I hope through this training the quality of IPB canteen services will be increasing in the future," she said.

He described that this training will be conducted over three months with a variety of programs, such as training on the implementation of healthy canteens, cleaning actions at canteen areas, healthy canteens competition, and food substitutes.
 
After the speech, the participants were given some knowledge in order to realize a healthy, clean and safe canteen. Resource persons invited were, among others, Dian Herawati, STP, MSi and Dr.Ir. Ikeu Ekayanti. (Mtd)
