IPB Holds Training of Internal Audit

Quality Management Office and Internal Audit Office of Bogor Agriculture University (IPB) held Training of Internal Audit to prepare for Assessment and Audit of Units in Departments / Faculties 2012, Monday (9/7) in Darmaga campus of IPB.

"We would like IPB to have better quality. Therefore, it is necessary to have quality assurance. It is here in which the role of assessors and auditors lies," said Head of Internal Audit Office of IPB, Dr. Wonny Ahmad Ridwan. An assessor is assigned to define the degree of quality achieved in terns of the level already set up. Meanwhile an auditor’s duty is to review whether the units have achieved the quality standards already set up. Usually, he said, this training is held only by the Office of Internal Audit. But this time it is organized by two offices at once to obtain the same perception.

Head of Quality Management Office of IPB, Dr. Fredinan Yulianda added that systemic quality assurance is conducted by IPB sustainably to monitor the operation of higher education. Dr. Fredinan emphasizes the role of auditors or assessors. "Auditing must be conducted randomly throughout the year. The resulted findings of the audit should be corrected to comply with the existing rules or regulations. Meanwhile assessment is carried out at the beginning or end of the year for a period of one year which has been running for the entire working units. The results of assessment are recommendations for further quality improvement," said Dr.Fredinan. (Mtd)
