Katimu Will Apply His Knowledge in Jabar

After taking place since 2 July 2012, the program of the Upgrading of Kader Petani Muda (Katimu) 2012 was officially closed, (9/7). The closing ceremony of Katimu activity took place in the lawn in front of the Office Building, Campus of IPB Dramaga, Bogor. In this ceremony, Rector of IPB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc, became the inspector of the ceremony. Katimu was the cooperation between Kodam III Siliwangi, Government of West Java Province, and IPB in accelerating the national food security. In his welcome speech, Rector of IPB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc, stated, “We say thank you toward Kodam III Siliwangi and Government of West Java Province which has given trust to IPB to organize the activity of this Katimu in developing the quality of human resource in West Java Province, especially in agriculture, plantation, fishery and animal husbandry”.

“I hope all knowledge and skills which have been obtained in this campus will bring the cadres of young farmers to encourage the creativity and the spirit of independence in optimizing the utilization of natural resource in West Java and becoming the important part in the attempt to build the prosperity and welfare in West Java Province”, said Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc. 

Bogor Agricultural University received the charter award from Kodam III Siliwangi. This award was submitted symbolically by Aster Kodam III/Siliwangi, Colonel. Inf. Rochadi, which represented Pangdam III Siliwangi to Rector of IPB.  (RF)
