IPB Introduces Code of Conduct and Campus Life
Bogor Agricultural University held an event titled "Socialization of Code of Conduct and Campus Life as well as Counseling of New Students of IPB, Batch 49", on Sunday (1/7) at in the Graduation Building (GWW) Dramaga Campus of IPB. It was attended by all students who have been admitted into IPB through the invitation channel.
In this event, the IPB’s new students of batch 49 were given the material about "Socialization of Code of Conduct for IPB Campus Life". According to Director of Student Affairs, Dr. Rimbawan, this is necessary as now that the students have entered the adulthood fully. "We hope that you as a human being can understand our need for order in the IPB campus life" said Dr. Rimbawan. On that occasion, Dr. Rimbawan also introduced the "Hymn of IPB" to the new students. They were asked to stand and sing it.
Apart from that, Dr. Rimbawan asked them to complete a letter of statement concerning the rule of IPB campus. "I hope you can interpret this activity in the best possible way so that later we can feel the benefit", added Dr. Rimbawan.
Besides the campus regulation, the new students of IPB of Batch 49 were given the material about counseling by Dr. Diniah. It is about "Urgency of Counselors to Support IPB Students". The purpose of the Guidance and Counseling is to help with adaptation to college life, study facilitation, and coping with personal problems. "The role of counselors is to provide a set of choices of problem solving, and the decision remains on the student" said Dr. Diniah in his presentation.
The introduction to the student dormitory was made by Head of Dormitory Management Board for the Common Preparation Program (TPB) IPB, Dr. Irmansyah, M.Sc. In his presentation, he gave an overview of the dorm. He expressed his welcome to the dorms to the new students of IPB of Batch 49. "Living in the dorms for one next year, new students are expected to learn to live communally and acquire a strong character in life," said Dr. Irmansyah, M.Sc. (Mtd)
