The domino effect of corruption is all encompassing. The impact of rampant corruption on development in Indonesia is not only harmful to everyone whose life, livelihood or happiness depends on the integrity of people in a position of authority, but  it  also affect  the existence of state and its nation. "Countries rank higher level in the “Corruption Perceptions Index” (CPI) are decernable with the expensive but low quality goods available in the society. The reasons as the corruption reduces the amount of venture capital, so the high cost of producing goods, "said the presenter in the Thematic Training Course on ‘Anti Corruption’, drh. Rahmat Hidayat, M.Si, on Thursday, 14 June 2012, at the Darmaga Campus, Bogor. The Training Course was organized by the Directorate of Human Resources of IPB in the framework as the anti-corruption education for the academics community, especially for the officials of the University.

While the first speaker, Dr. Nimmi Zulbainarni, S.Pi, M.Si stated that the sources of  corruption are two factors, namely the internal and external factor. Corruption that we face nowadays is a kind of wrongdoing activities based on traditional beliefs, honors or social status, especially  the  opinions or mispretention on the  wealth. When the materialistic and consumeristic  behavior of the  society and political system stick their mind on the material, it will resulted in the bribe and corruption. "More and more people have misperception on the wealth or social status, it will cause the greater mistakes in accessing the wealth," said Dr. Nimmi.

Whereas the external factors such as: public ignorance and and leadership of the nation’s elite, the lack of commitment and consistency of enforcement of laws or regulations, lack of integrity and professionalism, internal control mechanisms at all banking systems / financial institutions, working conditions, job descriptions, and the community services. "The most important of all is the weak in faith, honesty, embarressing, moral and ethical," said Dr. Nimmi. (Wied).
