IPB University commemorated National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2026. The National Education Day commemoration ceremony was held at the Rectorate Field, IPB Dramaga Campus (5/2).

On this occasion, Rector Dr Alim Setiawan reaffirmed IPB University’s commitment to expanding access to education, strengthening collaboration, and promoting innovative research that benefits society.

This year’s Hardiknas celebration emphasized the importance of strengthening participation from all sectors to provide quality education for all.

Dr Alim also urged the academic community to implement the three key messages conveyed by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.

“First, we must continue to expand access to inclusive education so that everyone has the opportunity to enroll at IPB University. No student should have to drop out due to financial constraints,” he said.

Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of cross sectoral collaboration to provide tangible solutions to the nation’s challenges. “Third, as a university, we must produce high quality research that generates innovations with a positive impact on society,” he added.

On the occasion of Hardiknas, the Rector presented the Satyalancana Karya Satya X, XX, and XXX Year Medals of Honor from the President of the Republic of Indonesia to 481 staff members, including both faculty and support staff. At the same time, awards were also given to 20 outstanding students out of a total of 1.234 national and international achievements in 2025.

Resa Ana Dina, SKM, MEpid, a lecturer in the Department of Community Nutrition at IPB University and one of the recipients of the 10th Year Satyalancana Karya Satya Medal, expressed her gratitude and pride.

For her, this award serves as motivation to continue working and serving more effectively as an educator. She also hopes her achievement can inspire other lecturers in Indonesia to keep contributing to the nation’s intellectual development.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Wildan Mukholladun, the 2nd place winner of the Ultimate Silat Championship (USC) Five Nations in Malaysia, also expressed his pride in the recognition received.

This student from the School of Data Science, Mathematics, and Informatics at IPB University hopes that this achievement will serve as motivation for himself and other students to continue excelling at both the national and international levels. (dr) (IAAS/DAM)
