IPB University Volleyball Student Club Achieves Success at the 2026 AVSG Series 1 in Malaysia

The IPB University Volleyball Student Club has achieved remarkable success on the international stage. At the 2026 Asian Volleyball Solidarity Games (AVSG) Series 1 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (7/1–6), the IPB University team won first place in the Men’s Category, first place in the Women’s Category, and first place in the Mixed Category.

This championship is a competition for non-professional players, featuring 12 student teams from 9 countries, including India, Indonesia, Timor Leste, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Brunei, Myanmar, and Malaysia.

“Thank you to all the players, supporters, and donors who provided assistance, whether in the form of accommodations or other necessities. This result proves that we are capable of competing and giving our best for IPB University,” said Putratama, captain of the IPB University Men’s Volleyball Team.

He is committed to consistently achieving success at both the national and international levels. “I hope the university, particularly the Directorate of Student Affairs (Ditmawa), will continue to fully support us so we can maximize the potential of talented students,” he said.

In addition to its team achievements, the IPB Volleyball Club also received individual awards, including:

1. Best Male Outside Hitter: Akmal Firdaus (School of Business)

2. Best Male Opposite Hitter: Taufik Dian (School of Vocational Studies)

3. Best Male Middle Blocker: Radja Muda (School of Vocational Studies)

4. Best Men’s Setter: Muhammad Dinar (Faculty of Engineering and Technology)

5. Men’s MVP: Muhammad Dinar (Faculty of Engineering and Technology)

6. Best Men’s Coach: M Ridho

7. Best Women’s Opposite Hitter: Fidela Emily (Vocational School)

8. Best Women’s Middle Blocker: Naisya Intan (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences)

9. Best Women’s Outside Hitter: Ai Nur Ajijah (Faculty of Forestry and Environment)

10. Women’s MVP: Ai Nur Ajijah (Faculty of Forestry and Environment)

11. Best Women’s Coach: M Khasanul Khuluq (Ditmawa)

“We are very proud of IPB students who excel and contribute at the international level. Congratulations to our friends in the IPB Volleyball Club; we hope that in the future, they will continue to consistently achieve success in various other championships,” said Nur Fajri Rahmawati, SP, Supervisor of Character Development and Student Organizations, Directorate of Student Affairs (Ditmawa) at IPB University.

The Director of Student Affairs at IPB University, Dr Akhmad Arifin Hadi, hopes that this achievement will inspire all student organizations to compete with one another in excelling in their respective fields.
