Description:
SMIPY is Smart Mini Plant Factory internet of things based as a urban farming support. SMIPY is a technology that intended for city residents that lacked a soil to plant and lacked time to maintain and take care of the plants. This technology can be connected to internet that will make it easier for users to control the plants from anywhere.

 

Usability:
Facilitate city residents to planting in the minimum city soil.

  • Environment aspect maintained automatically
  • Different to hydroponic
  • Can be applied plant rotation system
  • Nutrition of very shelf can be arranged based of commodity variety

  • Possible to be developed into big scale business

Economic Biogas Formulation from Rumen Contents and Cow Blood Waste

Description:
This innovation is a renewable energy from waste that produced by animal slaughterhouse (RPH) that haven’t been utilized to the maximum which are rumen (cow stomach) contents and cow blood that could pollute soil and water, also have a strong smell.

Usability:
Solution in the form of renewable energy that are economic, nature friendly and have big potential that is biogas using rumen contents waste and cow blood addition as the main substrate.

Advantages:

  • Rumen contents have a cellulose component and hemicellulose that are good for biogas.
  • ?Suppresses the pollution to environment (nature friendly).

 

Safe Preservation Chitosan Nanoparticle

Description:
This innovation is an anti-microbial preservation immobilized oxidized nanoparticle glucose based from Aspergillus niger IPBCC.08.610 as a potential preservative in food industry. Glucose oxidized enzyme that used originated from local Aspergillus niger IPBCC.08.610 isolate that isolated from fence plants from Tarakan North Kalimantan.

Usability:
As a natural preservative in the world of food industry, synthetic preservative replacement.

Advantages:

  • Natural (safe)
  • The production of glucose oxidized is high, so it is more economic than synthetic preservative
  • Good effectivity as an antibacterial

Cell-Foam, Nature Friendly Packaging as Styrofoam Replacement

Description:
Cellulose foam that abbreviated to Cell-Foam is a container that made from natural materials that are easily decompose in nature. Cell-Foam present as an alternative that can be used to replace Styrofoam that are hard to decomposed. Until now, the making of Styrofoam is using Chlorofluorocarbons (CFC) gas that could cause global warming. Meanwhile, this Cell-Foam made from cellulose extraction from used paper and change it into Nano-sized. Cell-Foam can be dispersed in 15 days and there’s many earthworms that eat it. For commercialized Styrofoam, the shape is still intact and not decomposed at all. Cell-Foam is very suitable to be used as nature friendly packaging.

Usability:
Cellulose Foam that abbreviated to Cell-Foam functioned to replace styrofoam that are not easily decomposed.

  • Easily decomposed (decayed in 15 days)
  • Nature friendly
