Rector Candidates of IPB Signed the Integrity Pact

A total of 24 Rector Candidates (BCR), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) in the period of 2017-2022 signed the Integrity Pact in front of the Rector of IPB and the Chairman of Academic Senate of IPB, Thursday (30/8), located in the Meeting Room of the Academic Senate, Campus of IPB Dramaga, Bogor. The signing of the Integrity Pact was to show the spirit of the BCRs towards the progress of IPB in 2017-2022.

The content of this Integrity Pact was to commit to follow the election process of BCR and the election of the Rector Candidates (CR) of IPB in accordance with the Regulation of the Board of Trustees (MWA) of IPB Number 21/MWA-IPB/2016 and Number 26/MWA-IPB/2017 as well as the Regulation of the Academic Senate of IPB Number 17/SA-IPB/2017 and Number 22/SA-IPB/2017; to commit to put forward the ethics, morale and integrity values for the interest and the progress of IPB and the higher education in Indonesia by participating to create the atmosphere of the election of BCR and CR in the period of 2017-2022 which was conducive, comfortable, safe, and orderly; to commit to accept the result of the election of BCR and CR in the period of 2017-2002 in accordance to the decision of the Academic Senate of IPB and to continue to contribute constructively in the development of IPB.

“In the election process of the Rector Candidates of IPB (at the level of the Academic Senate of IPB), we want all to walk comfortably, safely and becoming the common spirit of the Rector Candidates of IPB in developing IPB forward optimally,” said the Chairman of the Academic Senate of IPB, Prof.Dr. Tridoyo Kusumastanto.

On this occasion, the Rector of IPB, Prof.Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, explained that the Long Term Development Plan (RPJP) of IPB in the period of 2019-2045 was the reference to all internal elements of IPB in formulating the work programs, the educational activities, as well as the performance target to be achieved well each year. The Rector said, RPJP of IPB in the period of 2019–2045 had been refined according to the Plenary Session’s inputs of MWA. RPJP of IPB in the period of 2019-2045 was expected to benefit all stakeholders of IPB, both the lecturers, the students, the education personnel, the farmers, the planters, the fishermen, the breeders, the forest communities, the actors of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM), the large entrepreneurs, as well as the policy makers at the central and regional levels. “Let us work hard together, working hand in hand to realize the vision of IPB in 2045 as the leading techno-socio-entrepreneurial university in strengthening the dignity of the nation through the higher education at the global level in the agriculture, the marine, and the tropical bioscience,” he said.
