Officially, the IPB University Alumni Association Has an International DPC in the Netherlands
The management of the International Branch Management Board (DPCI) of the IPB University Alumni Association (HA) was officially inaugurated by the General Chairperson of the Central Executive Board (DPP) HA, Walneg S Jas, (19/11) in the Hall of the Republic of Indonesia Embassy (KBRI) Netherlands.
Walneg chaired the inauguration of the DPCI HA IPB Netherlands management for the 2022-2026 period by selecting Micha Gracianna Devi as chairman and Ditta Hakha Soleha as secretary.
"From the 40 countries of the IPB University alumni diaspora network, DPP HA targets to improve their status. As many as 15 countries are currently the diaspora coordinators to become DPC International HA IPB University," said Walneg.
He added, the Netherlands is the fourth DPCI appointed from the target of 15 DPCIs until 2025. "This inauguration has a very strategic meaning for HA IPB University. Among other things, it is a concrete form of developing an international network. And no less important is as a forum for facilitating access and assisting IPB University students (young alumni) to access education and the world of work at a global level, Walneg said.
Meanwhile, according to Dr. Agus Setiabudi, Education and Culture Attache at the Indonesian Embassy in The Hague in the Netherlands, HA IPB University has gone global and has many programs.
"We are ready to work together, for example in the area of increasing diaspora networks. We will encourage research collaborations or assistance with access to lectures in the Netherlands for alumni of IPB University and the younger generation of Indonesia in general," he added.
The Rector of IPB University, Prof. Arif Satria separately warmly welcomed the inauguration of the Dutch DPCI HA IPB. He said, this activity would further open the representation of the IPB University alumni diaspora network in the form of DPCI abroad.
"Hopefully it will further support our efforts to make IPB University alumni more global. Not for show, but to provide more benefits for IPB University, Indonesia and even the world," said Prof. Arif.
This inauguration was also part of the HA IPB University international exhibition, namely the IBA-X (International Business Alumni Expo) program at Rijwiel en Automobiel Industrie, Amsterdam which is planned to be held on 22-23 November.
On this occasion, HA through the Autonomous Business Scholar Alumni Agency (ABC) brought 100 IPB University alumni food products along with IPB University's HA partnership network products to take part in the Free from Functional Healthy Food and Ingredient international exhibition.
