IPB University Receives an Award from the Minister of Law and Human Rights in Obtaining a Patent
IPB University was selected as one of the recipients of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) Award for the Higher Education Category with the Highest Number of Top 10 Patent Applications in Indonesia in 2022. This award was handed over to the Rector of IPB University, Prof. Arif Satria on Monday, 21/11 at Birawa Assembly Hall - Hotel Bidakara, Jakarta.
Acting Director General of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Razilu said, this appreciation was chosen based on the contribution of IPB University which has played an active role in spurring the growth of creativity and innovation of intellectual property in the context of national economic recovery.
The Rector of IPB University, Prof. Arif Satria expressed his gratitude for this appreciation. According to him, he dedicated this achievement to all IPB University residents who are tireless and continue to work with innovations that are highly anticipated by the Indonesian people.
"This is in line with IPB University's future vision, which is to become an innovative and resilient university for the sustainable development of the nation. This appreciation can be an encouragement to continue to make achievements, to spread benefits to the nation and state," he said. Arif also expressed his gratitude to IPB's Inventors who tirelessly innovated so that IPB won a number of innovation awards, including an award from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
The awarding of the Kemenkumham Award is one of a series of Roving Intellectual Property Seminar activities organized by the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) Kemenkumham. Governors from 12 provinces, rectors, creative communities, business actors and the general public in the Jabodetabek area were invited to this activity.
This event is the first step in the commitment of regional leaders to encourage people in their areas to care about Intellectual Property (IP). This is in order to create an IP ecosystem that can become a pillar for national economic recovery and development. (*)
