Letting Go Ten Retired Lecturers and Teaching Staffs, Department of ITP IPB Holds “Syukur Atas Bakti untuk Negeri”
Department of Food Science and Technology, Bogor Agricultural University (ITP IPB) held a 'Syukur Atas Bakti untuk Negeri' event to let retired eight lecturers and two teaching staffs go, Saturday (14/7) in IPB International Convention Center (IICC). Bogor. "This event is held as a symbol of respect and sincere gratitude from us to them for every dedication and excellent works as lecturers and staffs in ITP Department," said IPB Rector, Dr. Arif Satria. The eight retired lecturers were Dr Ir Yadi Haryadi, MSc, Dr Dra Suliantari, MS, Dr Ir Adil Basuki Ahza, MS, Prof Dr Ir Sri Laksmi Suryaatmadja, MSc, Dr Ir Tien Ruspriatin, MS, Prof Dr Ir Rizal Sjarief Sjaiful Nazli, DESS, Dr Ir Budiatman Satiawihardja, MSc, and Prof Dr Ir Dedi Fardiaz, MSc. The two retired staffs are Abdul Rodjak and Sobirin.
Head of ITP Department, Dr Ir Feri Kusnandar, MSc in his opening speech said that the lecturers and teaching staffs that have retired have put a strong foundation, value, and work ethics so that ITP Department can advance and achieve many things to be proud of until now. "ITP currently has four programs, which are S1 and S2 of Food Technology, and S2 and S3 of Food Science. All of which have A accreditation. The Bachelor Degree of Food Technology even has achieved an international recognition from Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), United States of America (USA), and International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST). At upcoming 2018/2019 year, ITP Department will also open international classes for Bachelor program of Food Technology, which are designed to be enrolled by foreign students," explained Dr Feri.
Currently, according to Dr Feri, number of graduates from every strata of ITP Department has reached more than four thousand people. They work in many sectors with outstanding achievements. The same idea goes with the lecturers, staffs, and students of ITP Department, who are able to achieve not only in national, but also international scale.
In that event there were more than 900 ITP Department alumni present from all batches from F4 until F50. "We, representing all colleagues of lecturers and teaching staffs of ITP Department, IPB, expressed our endless gratitude for every dedication that our retired lecturers and staffs made in ITP Department. Our great reputation couldn't be achieved without their contributions while they are working in ITP Department," said Dr Feri. (Ard)
