IPB Rector Increases IT and Labor Budgets Twice
Hundreds of officials at Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) attends the Coordination of Management Program of IPB Work Program. The event is held at IPB International Convention Center, (12/7). The event holds by the Directorate of Human Resources (HR) IPB aims to equate perceptions of the development of IPB in the future.
In front of IPB officials consisting of heads of sub directorates, heads of departments, heads of fields, heads of sections, heads of sub-divisions and heads of administration, Rector of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria says that the condition of IPB in the 1980s was very different from the year of 2000s. This change must be responded to.
"IPB must be a trend change setter. Currently IPB enters three to four major campuses in Indonesia and is still calculated at the national level. But we also can not stop the college outside IPB make changes to the progress of college. Large IPBs have big loads as well. This is a demand of how the big IPB car, but still can move agile, "says Rector.
The Rector also discusses the fact of the fall of several national and international companies eroded by the progress of the times for failing to read the changing times. Companies are starting to make changes to deal with this situation.
"Banking, Post Office, Telkom are also making changes because everything is based online, so the existence of branch offices may not be too important anymore. In the present era through the role of the media, one can suddenly become famous. But we do not want to be an instant big person, but we want to be great because of our work. We must also understand how branding is in the present era. For that we must read the changes properly, "says Rector.
According to him, in stepping we can refer to the vision of IPB 2019 – 2045 that is becoming techno-socio entrepreneurial university in the forefront of strengthening the nation's dignity through education. It is an IPB effort to create innovative entrepreneurs in the community because it is impossible for everyone to become employees.
"One effort to respond to change, IPB will raise the laboratory budget doubled. Aspects of Information Technology (IT) must also be sophisticated. Next year IPB program must have been all information technology based. We have started with student mobile app. Currently designed mobile apps for education (tendik) and lecturers. It has become a demand. In the situation of all the digital, may be in front of employees also need only 500 people, "he says.
Change is a necessity. He mentions the company is getting more sophisticated. To spend a thousand dollars will not be easy because all parts must be well-integrated, integrated and accountable accounted properly.
"Therefore, the officials present today are the wheels that must keep moving so that IPB can be more stable in the face of change. You are the power that is in IPB, "says Rector.
Vice Rector for Resources, Planning and Finance of IPB, Prof. Dr. Agus Purwito describes matters related to the management of work programs such as: IPB management policy (financial aspects, human resources, planning, and program management). On this occasion, a number of directors / heads of office / bureau chiefs conveyed about the management of IPB's work program such as: Management of Return on Service (SIJ), employee overtime, insurance service, proposal mechanism of National Lecturer Number (NIDN) and Lecturer Number Special (NIDK ), financial governance, program planning and management, communications and correspondence, transparency and accountability of program implementation, and development of information systems.
