Build IPB Family Solidity, IPB Alumni Association Cooperate with BEM IPB Facilitate Students to Free Mudik


Central Board of Management (DPP) Bogor Agricultural University Alumni Association (HA IPB) together with Student Executive Board (BEM KM IPB) has held Free homecoming (mudik) for students of IPB. Chairman of DPP HA IPB Fathan Kamil launched the students that participate in this event in the campus of IPB Baranangsiang, Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday (6/6) morning. In addition to Fathan, present in the launching were Secretary General HA IPB Walneg S Jas, General Treasurer Emy Mufid and Committee Chairman Ali Fathoni. While from the ranks of IPB rectorate is Dr. Heti Mulyati as Director of Cooperation and Alumni Relations of IPB.

Fathan hopes that the contributions of the alumni and donors will be a proof of HA IPB commitment to help the students so they can gather with their relatives.

"One of the objectives of this program is to increase awareness and solidity of alumni with students, especially in helping to ease the burden of younger students. We understand there are our younger friends from other region that can’t going home up to five years," he said.

Walneg S Jas explains that this activity just touched some cities and is expected to be more developed at Lebaran momentum in the coming years. The breakthrough that has been running smoothly reinforces the belief that HA IPB program must always get support from various parties.

Lebaran homecoming program is dedicated specifically for underprivileged IPB students so they can still celebrate Eid with their beloved family. This program is still in the initial phase, and HA IPB will develop it to be larger and involve more destinations in the years to come.

HA IPB is very concerned to help students who are in dire need in this holy day. The purpose of this program is to increase awareness and solidity of alumni in helping to ease the burden of younger students. To channel the sense of belonging and spirit of sharing of alumni in a more focused and in accordance with the targets that need it and give the role and education of sharing and care to the alumni candidates that they hope to preserve and continue in the future

"HA IPB through this program also wants to show that alumni are always present and are behind the younger students who need support in the times they need. We represent HA IPB to thank all the alumni who have donated their assistance. This is one of the charities in the full moon," he said.

On this occasion, Dr. Heti Mulyati as the Director of IPB Alumni Cooperation and Relationship expressed her hope to support alumni in the future.

"Thanks to HA IPB who have initiated and implemented this activity in a short time so that it can be done. This aid is very needed by IPB students. So the alumni and IPB can collaborate and synergize together, so IPB remains victorious with its alumni support," he said.

This free homecoming activity was first held together with the Alumni Association and in the process the committee conducted a selection phase to find students who are entitled to get this free homecoming.

"In the initial registration process there were 307 participants who signed up and then selected by the committee to get a total of 153 participants going home for free this year. This year's free trips is to three destinations which are Lampung, Yogyakarta and Kediri. Participants also given a gift from HA to give to relatives at home, "said Student President of IPB, Qudsyi Ainul Fawaid. (RYS)

Hopefully this kind of activity is there every year and the relationship between alma mater, HA and students can be more closely and together in synergy.
