Inauguration of the Alumni Association Management of the Animal Husbandry of IPB for the Period of 2018-2022
The Alumni Association of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry (Hanter), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), elected the new chairman and secretary general for the period of 2018-2022. The inauguration was conducted on 11 February 2018 in Jonggol Animal Husbandry Education and Research Unit (UP3J), Faculty of Animal Husbandry (Fapet) of IPB. The Chairman of Hanter of IPB elected was Audy Joinaldy, S.Pt, M.Sc, MM (President Commissioner of Perkasa Group). Meanwhile, the position of the Secretary General was Iyep Komala, S.Pt, M.Si who was also the lecturer of Fapet.
“Hanter is more paguyuban and its members are all volunteers. Its function is to establish the friendship of the alumni of Fapet IPB. Through Hanter, the alumni become more familiar and follow the activities and the dynamics of Fapet IPB. The positive impact of the alumni paguyuban is to develop the alumni’s sensitivity to the social situation in the community,” said Iyep.
Iyep conveyed, Hanter also played a role in collecting the aspirations of its members to participate in the efforts to advance the standard of life of the community and the nation of Indonesia, primarily by leveraging their knowledge and expertise in the livestock science and technology.
Audy Jonaldy was the alumni of the class 38 and Iyep Komala was the alumni of the class 36. This appointment also made Audy Joinaldy to become the Chairman of the youngest Alumni Association of all faculties in IPB.
The inauguration of the management of Hanter was attended approximately 250 alumni consisting of the classes 01-50. Also attending the event were the Dean of Fapet of IPB, Dr. Mohammad Yamin; the Vice Rector for Innovation, Business, and Entrepreneurship of IPB, Prof.Dr. Erika Budiarti Laconi; the former Minister of Agriculture in the Period of 2009-2014, Ir. H. Suswono, MMA; and the Chairman of Hanter of IPB before which was a class D17, Nadra Hosen.
Iyep added, the closest program that would be done by Hanter was the creation of the website of Hanter, the data collection of the alumni of Fapet (data base alumni), activating the Facebook Hanter and other social media of Hanter. Other than that, it would provide the training and the public lecture for the students of Fapet of IPB.
Another program was to work with the Faculty of Animal Husbandry of IPB in developing UP3J or Jonggol Animal Science Teaching and Research Unit (JASTRU). “There will also be free groceries and livestock products for the educational staff of Fapet of IPB, especially non-cilvil servants ahead of lebaran. Not only that, there will also be the scholarship for the students of Fapet,” explained Iyep.
The closest program of Hanter was to work with various agencies in the support of the work program of Hanter, one of them with the Ministry of Cooperation for the establishment of Hanter Cooperation; to make the membership card of Hanter in cooperation with Brizzi BRI that could be used for the toll payment, the trans jakarta, the shopping in a number of the merchant cooperation.
“The numbers of the members of Hanter are still in the data collection. There are probably 7,200 people. I hope that Hanter becomes a solid alumni association and can advance Indonesian farms through the work programs of Hanter,” concluded Iyep.(dh)
