IPB Welcome the Visit of Field Assessment Team of the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education
Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) welcome the visit of the Field Assessment Team for the Accreditation of IPB from National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN PT), on 1-3 October 2017. The assessment team consisted of Prof. Marwan Asri of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM); Prof. Johannes Hutabarat of Diponegoro University (UNDIP); Prof. Elly Wahyudin of Hasanuddin University (UNHAS); Prof. Mulyadi Bur of Andalas University (UNAND); Prof. Zulkifli Dahlan of Sriwijaya University (UNSRI); Prof. Heru Suhartanto of University of Indonesia (UI); and Dr.Sugeng Listyo Prabowo of the State Islamic University of Malang.
Rector of IPB, Prof. Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto in his welcoming remarks for the assessors reported the quality of education in IPB. Related to the Field Assessment Team, IPB held the expo of various innovation made by the university and posters of each Department of IPB that have been accredited outside and within the country.
Head of Quality Management Office (KMM) of IPB, Dr. Fredinan Yulianda, stated that present assessment process was the third of IPB University's Accreditation (AIPT). "The field assessment process was carried out by seven assessors of BAN PT to ensure that what had been written in the document were really true. In addition, assessors enquired the supporting documents to certify that their assessment were true. By completing the assessment process by AIPT, IPB expects to be awarded Grade ‘A’, "he said.
Further Dr. Fredinan said, for strengthening the internal management of IPB, these processes has become the introspection of IPB. In the future, the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) of each Unit in IPB will be based the standards or criteria set by BAN PT, including documents, systems, processes, and so on.
"IPB has reported the achievements the university successfully made, some even were rated above the average. To strengthen the good governance the achievements made should be explainable or performance standards should be objective, measurable, realistic, and stated clearly. So whenever the track records and performance process (log book) are requested by BAN PT assessors, they will explained clearly and easily to the assessors, and they will become additional value for the written forms, " said Dr. Fredinan.
In addition to have interviews and discussions with the executives of IPB, assessors also visited offices and Departments to assess services and activities they performed for the implementation of learning process. (Wied)
