IPB Rector Bestows Appreciation for 103 Retiring Civil Servants

As a part of the 55th Dies Natalis of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Dr. Arif Satria as IPB Rector bestowed appreciation souvenirs for 103 civil servants/teaching staffs who have retired since January 1, 2018. The retiree attended the event titled "Inspiration and Dedication for the Country" held in IPB International Convention Center (IICC) (29/9). This event was held by IPB Directorate of Human Resource.

"In that 103 retirees, there are 17 heirs from the attending staffs. They are the heirs from Dr. Ir. Dahrul Syah, M.Sc., Prof. Dr. Ir. Daniel Djokosoetiyanto, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rina Oktavianti, MS., Dr. Ir. Nur Bambang Priyo Utomo, M.Si., Dr. Ir. Sobri Effendy, M.Si, Drs. Romli, M.Ag, Tri Susilowati, SE., Drs. Dedi Suryadi, Cecep Gunawan, Muhtarman, Sukarsih, Musahar Anwar, S.IP., Arief Budi Purwanto, Hardi Tubiyanta, Wanhar Saepudin, Kusnadi Masda, Gatot Supriadi, A.Md.," said Human Resource Director, Dr. Ir. Titik Sumarti.

According to IPB Rector, events like this will be IPB tradition to appreciate the service done by IPB teaching staffs. "The event will be held annually to relive the memories of the service done by our seniors for IPB. When they arrive in IPB they were greeted. Similarly, there should also be a formal farewell when they are retiring," said IPB Rector.

The Rector believes that these retirees have given their best for IPB. He also believes that they have done good favors while doing their job in IPB. In previous times, they have become agents to realize IPB in the future.

"For that we have to really prepare for a better future. IPB has to be an adaptive institution and become the trendsetter of change in the future. A good institution is an institution which contributes in the nation's development," he explained.

Meanwhile, IPB will always engage in short-term, middle-term, and long-term actions to help the recovery due to the disaster that struck Palu, Central Sulawesi.

"IPB will give donations and scholarships for the parents of the students from Palu and Donggala who are struck with the disaster. IPB will facilitate students from Palu and Donggala whose family struck by the disaster to go back to their hometown. Beside that, IPB will also reconstruct the agriculture. Palu and Donggala are agriculture, fisheries, and animal husbandry areas which have to be recovered quickly. This is one of the small parts of what we want to give to the people and a manifestation of our commitment to share with the society and nation," he said. (Ard)
